WMU Transmission Main/Trenchless Technology
With just over nine miles of 24-inch ductile iron pipe, the new Finished and Raw Water Transmission Main Project Bell Engineering is completing for Winchester Municipal Utilities is one of the largest waterline jobs currently underway on the East Coast. Construction of the $8,300,000 project began in November 2014 and is ahead of schedule with approximately 50 percent complete. In order to dig the 42-inch wide and seven-foot deep trench, G&W Construction purchased a Vermeer T1255 Commander 3 trencher.
