About the Role
We are seeking a skilled, entry level Construction Inspector specializing in the Utility Construction Industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing construction activities on behalf of the Engineer in water and wastewater treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, storm water systems, and natural gas distribution, ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Maintain accurate daily records and photographs of construction progress using software and electronic devices.
Review Contractor’s applications for payment.
Attend construction progress meetings with the Engineer, Owner, Contractor and Funding Agencies.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites as needed.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED is required.
Technical School or Associates Degree is preferred.
Proficient using a computer and other electronic devices.
Experience with Word and Excel is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, contractors and clients.
